It is very clear that this list has been under a incredibly heavy
noise assault lately.
What if anything can people on this list do to help combat this issue?
Does anyone have server access to the MTA that routes the list traffic?
Do spam definitions need to be updated/re scored?
It would be a real shame to see this list die from worthless noise.
If we need to move to a different server then let's at least start the
discussion.

Well, the admins aren't going to unsubscribe people who can't be
bothered to figure out how to do it themselves. But they should
definitely be paying attention to spammers like these gobshites and do
something.

If you have seen these requests then they were not directed to the
management address but to the list itself - or you are the
administrator. 
No one is paying controlling to the list.
I wouldn't be too sure of that.
