Ruby Hacking Fest [January]
Pate Eyler is trying to organize another Ruby hacking fest for
people in the Northwestern USA area. The hack fest will be in
Seattle. If you are interested, sign up here([1]).

James Britt has taken the initiative to start and maintain a
site dedicated to all Ruby documenatation. This covers things
such as the Ruby API, tutorials, online books, articles.

Ruby article in SD magazine
Software Development magazine has an arcticle assessing Ruby.
Rick Wayne gives it 4 out of a possible 5 stars - “The product
is near the top of its class and probably belongs in your
shop”. Always interesting reading other peoples perceptions of
Ruby. Lookfor the december issue of Software Development([3]),
currently it is still showing november.

kicked in yet – but when I click this link I just go to chromatic’s
page at the O’Reilly Network. I don’t see anything mentioning RubyConf
at all.

Sorry about that. I am not sure why it did not show up in the email. If you go
to the rubygarden website you will notice that the link to _why’s page is
indeed there and I also have the link as the URL of the intended topic in my
XML file. Dave does the mailing code make an assumption that the url for a
topic has to be to ruby-talk.org? I’m not sure why this didn’t come through
properly on the email.
