OK, OSCON is coming up in a couple of weeks and I’d like to figure out if
we should do some kind of Ruby gathering. I put up a wiki page on
RubyGarden called GoingToOSCON.
It would be great if we could have a mini-RubyConf of sorts. Or, we
could just go out and have a beer (Remember, Portland is the land of micro
brew

Mmm, Oregon beer. Greet the Rogue folks if you see any, and drink a
Shakespeare Stout for me.

I’m giving a full-day Ruby tutorial on Tuesday, and Thursday has a
full-day Ruby track (I think I’m speaking last…)
Cheers

FWIW, there’s a semi-unofficial OSCON wiki at
http://oscon.kwiki.org/. Tim O’Reilly’s found it and mentioned it in
his blog last weekend, so it’s likely to see some activity.

Since the Ruby track is on Thursday, What do people think about getting
together Thursday evening after Dave’s talk (I think his talk wraps up at
6PM)? A few local Rubyists who are not attending OSCON have expressed
interest in getting together too. We could make it around 7PM which would
give folks from the Westside time to get downtown.
Matz, Dave, would you be able to make it?

Actually, they’re not distinguishable here in Portland either especially
if we go to one of the McMennimen’s pubs where they have a redish beer
called ‘Ruby’.
