Slack channel dedicated to ruby

Hello rubyists,

I joined slack newly and was dumbfounded to know all the communities of
different languages.
Even ruby on rails has one.I think we need a ruby-specific slack channel.

What do y'all say ?

yours faithfully,

poo.

Slack is proprietary. Email is more open.

Slack is closed source, time consuming to acess, also they dropped IRC support and there are better FOSS alternatives like Rocket.Chat

As others mentioned, Slack isn't particularly great when it comes to open
communication. If you still want to go join a Slack group, you're free to
do so.

But, please don't go create yet another Slack group when one might already
exist. Please search around a few open community search engines like
slofile.com or some other portal. Searching on eligible gave me a few hits:

You could try joining one of them if you want. Good luck!

If I need a quick answer, or lots of them, I head to Freenode #ruby.
Otherwise I post here. I've found enough good information, and good
people, to keep me content.
