Debugging in scripting languages seems kind of shaky to me, with the
debugger being a script itself.
Is there any movement to adapt Ruby to generate Parrot bytecode at this
point?
Not much activity in the mailing list for the last 6 months (or more),

Check out the Cardinal project on RAA. It’s sort of on hold right now.
We’re waiting for object support in Parrot (well, to be honest, I’m too
busy with other things right now, so it’s a convenient excuse:)
