Needed - html widget library

does anyone of know of a good html widget library? i’m thinking of
one where tables, buttons, etc would be ordinary objects with their
to_s method written appropriately. i’ve looked at cgikit, but it
looks overly complex and the doccumentation isn’t that helpfull. if
anyone knows of such a library please tell me about it before i write
my own.
