How do the Japanese( or any other non-English) use Ruby language?

Can somebody explain how the Japanese use Ruby language?
Do they have built-in function names and class names in Japanese, or are
they
compelled to English characters and names as I/we am/are used to?

I am wondering , whether an Indian , not knowing English or even English
characters can use a version of Ruby in his native language , say,
Telugu(తెలుగు).

Prasad,

As far as I know, Ruby has English-based keywords, class names, and method
names everywhere. In fact, the first character of an identifier must be
7-bit ASCII (there's been discussion on the list in the past about the
impossibility of having identifiers composed entirely of Cyrillic
characters).

There have been programming languages modeled after other human languages,
though; see <
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-English-based_programming_languages&gt;\. That
page lists a few in Hindi and Tamil, but I don't see any Telugu.
