Getting the 1.7.2 source

Hi all,

I’m trying to download and install the latest 1.7.2 source via CVS based on
instructions at rubycentral.com. I probably don’t know what I’m doing, but
I keep getting “connection timed out” when I try to do anonymous login.

What I would really like is a .tar.gz link somewhere that a cvs-ignorant
slob like me can just click, download and install.

Is there such a thing?

Select a mirror, then goto in the directory ruby/snapshots

but this is not the latest CVS version

Here:

ftp://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/snapshot.tar.gz

is a snapshot of the latest CVS sources for Ruby 1.7.2.
