For us, the QA role is a technical role whose primary focus is on
writing apps to execute
acceptance tests instead of writing apps that implement the business
logic. The QA role is
also our customer proxy when it comes to identifying the scenarios
that make up the
acceptance tests.Our teams have traditionally had specific roles for testing. It makes
it easier to stay
focused.We are not big fans of UI test tools like WinRunner or Silk. We have
had much better luck
