Formatting in posts

Hey, sorry for the noob question. I've been a lurker for a while and I'm
trying to make a new post, but I can't find any sort of formatting rules
anywhere. Don't want to just post a big block of text. Just looking for
basics, like creating a newline and perhaps adding a quote. Thanks.

This is mailing list, so regular rules for plain text emails could be
applied here. Or you can install one of the numerous email clients,
which will do it for you (just make sure you are using plain-text). For
example http://www.claws-mail.org/

Hi Sergey,

I actually posted this on the forums. Are the forums just a funnel for the
mailing list or are they two separate entities that people choose to
connect?
