Hi,
Running a ruby program under Windows XP shows a slot startup (about three seconds on my computer), compared to Unix.
I'm running this:

--------------------------------
require 'drb'
DRb.start_service()
obj = DRbObject.new(nil, 'druby://localhost:9000')
puts "Client"
puts obj.getflowers
--------------------------------
The problem seems to come from "DRb.start_service()".
Is there anything we can do against this? During startup, CPU is not saturated at all...
