Commercial Support for Ruby(Windows support)

You got a point there (ok, I use standard search
tools to search HTML
anyway, so …). Maybe old-style .hlp files? These
would work on
older Win95 too … Or maybe multiple formats? How
would this
increase the package size?

Can you generate .hlp from xml/html?

There is a GPL program to do this at:

http://www.gkrueger.com/other/studproj/html2rtf/

…although it runs in DOS Protected Mode, which takes
me back a few years

The U/Win package can also do it, among other things.

However, I think .hlp is pretty much a dead format.
If I were cursed with a windows 95 machine I would
much rather read HTML or install HTML Help than have
to think about .hlp.

Wouldn’t it be simpler to just include the HTML Help
runtimes with the Ruby package?

I would prefer, instead. It’s also much faster to load.
