Without doing a web search, can I retrieve all of the procnames in the
"dllname" as refered to here...
<Win32API.new( dllname, procname, importArray, export)> from the dll
itself??
Can't help there, but have you looked at Ruby/DL (comes with the
standard install).
IIUC, It is supposed to replace Win32API. You can find samples at:
http://ttsky.net/ruby/ruby-dl.html\.
I think ruby/dl is not only going to replace win32api.
It even replaced it's current implementation:
require 'dl/win32'

I think ruby/dl is not only going to replace
win32api.
It even replaced it's current implementation:
require 'dl/win32'
Ruby/DL is cool. After seen a mention to it in this
thread, I felt the need to try it out. I ran the GTK
example (after modifying a couple of lines), and
thought: "cool, this module rocks, if only I could use
it to load one or another library when the need comes;
know what? I'm gonna try to load firebird_embedded
with it."
Kind of like, when we learn something cool, we want to
use it for everything. hehe
Then the sad reality: the firebird_embedded library is
C++, and upon reading some of the previous posts on
the subject, it seems that C++ is too complex for a
generic library, and I calmed down.
Cheers,
Joao
