Since I got back yesterday I don't seem to be able to connect to
FreeNode to join #ruby-lang. The FreeNode.net news page talks about a
5 min outtage last Thursday. I've tried using a host here in the UK
and another located in Italy -- no deal.

Am I alone? Anyone know where it went?
it's there, as always
Maybe there was some maintenance problem, but it seem to work now (using tolkien.freenode.net)

Hmm... I was mapped to orwell.freenode.net which appears to be
down>unavailable. Now, as soon as I can figure out how to make
Trillian use more than one server, all will be well.

I have configured irc.freenode.net port 6667. On login I'm automatically
redirected to some other host (currently sendak.freenode.net).
Kind regards
