Volunteering my time for a project - Mid level

Hello everyone,

I have recently made a commitment to myself to give more to the Ruby
community and Open Source in general.

The problem I have is that I am not a very skilled Ruby developer yet (I
consider myself a mid-level) so I don't have the knowledge and experience
to jump in one of the popular and advanced gems/frameworks.

The plan I have is to always invest in myself and spend many hours each
week studying about programming best practices like working with legacy
code and testing to Ruby specifics like best practices, ways to solve
problem the Ruby way etc and I have 2 years of working with Ruby (using
Rails) on multiple production websites.

What I can offer, 2 - 10 hours a week working on whatever is needed from
fixing bugs to adding features.

I don't expect anything in return, but to be motivated to keep helping with
the project I do need good criticism of my code, and help getting better
and the tasks should be challenging enough (for example implementing a
design from .psd to html/css does not count as challenging, but if it's
rarely needed I am willing to do it).

The project could be in pure Ruby or using a framework, no preferences.

You can contact me at this email.

Have a great day!

Well, if you wanted to write better docs for RubyTK I wouldn't mind.
I'm told they are lacking.

That would give you a dive into understanding someone else's code,
using github, testing, and a host of other skills that most projects
seem to like.
