Updating Ruby

Hi,

I'm new to ruby, I got version 2.0.0p645 and I want to update it to 2.3.0.
I have RVM installed but not sure how to update.

I emailed the group because google didn't help! You'll see why below:

Basically I keep getting error messages everytime I try to update using the
usual methods. I already downloaded Homebrew so not sure why it's asking
for it again. At some point previously it said something like 'you don't
have permission to access ruby files on this mac' (not the same wording but
you know what I mean).
