I believe I still have an issue with my media
player (the reason this came up in the first place). I'm going to play a
bit and clean some things up. If I still have the problem there I'll post

Sounds to me like firefox is playing nice
In the olden days, Netscape IIRC would open a whole bunch of connections at a time, and that would bog down the server (wimpy servers!) I doubt it's very much of an issue now, but...
