FWIW, Brandon, I think you’ve hsndled yourself pretty well considering
the rather rude responses you’ve received from some members of this
list. Keep your chin up and keep a level head.
Still, considering your current field, Ruby probably isn’t for you. If
you still want to learn more about the language, I suggest you read the
infamous PickAxe book (Programming Ruby by Thomas/Hunt) and just give it
a whirl. I usually prefer to decide for myself what lamguage I want to
learn/use, but that may just be me.

Truthfully, I’m not looking for 3D graphics solutions right now. I’m
looking for:

  1. a way to make money
  2. a way to implement 2D games quickly in a cross-platform manner
