1 - Can a shoes application be packaged as a stand-alone application for
distribution?

Yes, certainly, as .exe, .dmg, .run or .shy.

But most apps on the Shoebox are all just Ruby scripts.

2 - Is there plan to add drag&drop capability to shoes?

So far, I'm afraid not.

3 - Is there a shoes forum similar to this ruby forum?

The shoes mailing list. Send an e-mail
and the listbot will sign you up.

It's usually only about five to ten messages a day, if
that's okay.
