[Ruby] WebAssembly

Hi,

Wondering if anybody has any thoughts about porting Ruby to WebAssembly. I'm not very knowledgeable about compilers, so is this even possible?

As a frequent user of Opal I do know that working with Ruby both in the frontend and the backend is a real pleasure, so having Ruby execute in the webbrowser as fast as locally would be a great thing to have.

Thanks,
Ivo

I’ve thought about this and am also interested in any working being done in this area. I’m also limited in my understanding of compilers and low-level code.
