RUBY Project in West Bengal (India)

Hello,
A good news. Now I am in a project in RUBY and Mysql. Probably it is the first software in the state West Bengal (India) in RUBY. I am not sure that it is first software in India. Any idea about RUBY implementation in INDIA?
Without this mailing list it is not possible to implement RUBY. I have two questions about RUBY. Please help me.

  1. I want to make print outs in windows. How to implement it? I can write to the file and then make print outs in Notepad but I need formatted output with various fonts and other designs. Please give me detail help.

  2. I need some documents for RUBY-CGI programming. Actually it is a real problem for me to get a book about RUBY. Not avaible anywhere in my state.
    I need your help. Hope you will solve my problem

There aren’t too many ruby programmers in India. Infact, the only one I
know of is Shashank (I don’t know where he’s based though) and I’m in
Mumbai.

I’m not sure what you mean by “make printouts in windows”. If you want to
write into MS Word and format the text, then you could use the WIN32OLE
module to control Word through Automation. Look up the Pickaxe book for
examples. Infact, the Pickaxe book is probably your best bet for starting
out programming in Ruby (including cgi programming with ruby). I’ve got
the book in .chm format and I could send it over, if you like.
