Ruby email client; why?

I would like an ruby email client to have the ruby interpreter in it.
With this I can for eg, sort my mails anyway I want, or parse mail
headers/subject/contents for highly fancy rules/filters (possibly using
regexp and of course ruby programming/triggers)… or maybe hook it on ms
exchange

… or more like a mail client running on a ruby virtual machine??

k, I am not dreaming,… just crazy (and old :-)… but hey, w guys like
matz, guy, nobu, transami, dave, etc., nothing is impossible

I find this thread somewhat interesting. When I’m shopping
around for an application, I typically look for one in terms
of its functionality; not what language it’s written in.

For the people that are asking for a ruby email app, why?
For illustrative purposes, so you can see how they do “x”?
So you can more easily modify it? Something else?

I’m not criticizing, just curious.

How about a ruby process that can connect to Outlook and process
received messages (for those of us forced by employers to use such a
beast).

With Win32OLE nothing is impossible
