Ruby Development Tool (RDT) project for Eclipse help

Hi,
I've reproduced my posting below to the RDT forum over at sourceforge in
the hope that I might get some response. Is anyone using RDT?

"Hi, I've installed the RDT 0.5 using the Eclipse Update Manager but
straight away there are inconsistencies between what I'm seeing in my IDE
and what the documentation details. This has left my unsure if the RDT has
installed correctly.

Firstly checking Windows > Preferences I can see no Installed Interpreters
page under the Ruby branch.

Secondly when I choose to run the application when the run configuration
dialog is displayed there is no configuration type for ruby applications.

I'm running Eclipse 3.0.1 on Win2K."

Thanks
Paul

There are certainly problems in your installation.

Hi,

it seems, that something with the installation is wrong. On my machine

XP, Eclipse 3.0.1, RDT 0.5.0, German localization

the installed interpreters preference page shows up and there is a
configuration type apps. Debugging Ruby apps works fine, too. I used
http://rubyeclipse.sf.net/updatesite in the Eclipse update dialog.

As others have said, and you've deduced, you have an installation problem of
some type. How did you it? Using the udpateSite? I've never seen it go
wrong that way - (in about 6 viewings).

I tried a manual install and everything came right. I seemed to recall that
the first time I tried it using the update manager my internet connection
went down mid install. I then tried again and it appeared to install
correctly but obviously not.
