Ruby connection to Sybase ASE 12.0

There is a Sybase module in RAA. It is quite stable and the author is very
helpful. It does
not use DBI.

Hi Ruby users,

Is there a way to connect to a Sybase database using ruby ? I searched in
the ruby/dbi project and it appears that the dbd_sybase is currently
outdated and will not work with DBI versions > 0.0.4 !!!.

Any other way to access sybase databases ?
