Nice doc. Can we get an update from _why as to its status? Any planned
additions?

Hi !
I have a more general question regarding changes:
As I know, “The PickAxe” is based on Ruby 1.60.
There is a list of changes from Ruby 1.6.8 → 1.8.0 (the list referred
by the link below)
I have started with Ruby 1.80.
Where can I find a list of changes (or a couple of lists of…)
between “the version of ruby referred by ‘The PickAxe’'” and Ruby
1.80? (this is no ‘hidden’ critism to “The PickAxe” or the
Author of “The PickAxe” !!! I am VERY happy to have this
documentation !!!
Kind regards,
Meino

Well, I just updated it last Thursday to include the PP module. If I notice
someone on ruby-talk is querying about an 1.8.0-related change, I end up
recording some kind of explanation. So, if anyone requests a topic, I’ll
gladly add.
I have thought of reformatting it to several pages with an index and
changelog. Perhaps within the next month or two.

I like it the way it is, actually; easily browsable. A TOC (links to
anchors) at the top would provide all the navigability that is needed
for a document that size.

cool, her’s my wishlist:
-iconv
-strscan
-scanf
-xml-rpc
Not that this stuff is so hard to grok, but having it pointed out
would push people to use it, just look at how webrick related stuff
appeared here in the last two weeks.
Oh, and I’m not sure these are new in 1.8 or if I just discoverd them
tooo late:
obviously, feel free to hate me

no need, ATM.
IMO just a good TOC would fit, as already suggested.
