Ruby-1.8.1-i386-mingw32 without MSYS

when attempting to use the latest stable ruby-mingw32 binaries to run a script,
on windows 98 se, i get an error. A little box pops up, and tells me that the
program has preformed an illegal operation, and gives me the following
description:

Fault location: 0028:C02E003
Faulting component: VMOUSE(03)+ 00001B5B
Interrupts in service: None

My best guess is that its got something to do with MSYS, and the fact that i
dont have it installed and am not starting ruby from within an MSYS console. Is
this intended? Is this even the problem? Has anyone else noticed this?

Reguards,
jesse

Scratch all of that. It wasn’t the ruby, it was the Microsoft™. Works as
expected after a much needed reboot.
