'quit' instead of 'exit' for irb?

A suggestion: How about making ‘quit’ a synonym for ‘exit’ in irb? I
find myself mistakenly typing ‘quit’ all the time because that’s what
I use in other shell programs (e.g. MySQL client).

Just put ‘alias quit exit’ in your .irbrc file.

Or use ^D…
