I’ve had the same issue also.
I googled a bit and eventually found an email which had solved it by
installing the correct tcl and tk lib.s, which I then preceded to do.
I still have no joy with this option at home on Linux. It isn’t an issue on
Windows.

i installed ruby-1.8.1 on edura and ruby works
individually tclsh and wish is also working
