Piping to windows command line .rb file doesn't work

What about type cat.rb | ruby cat.rb ?

That works fine. But it isn’t what I wanted. I’m trying to get
some of the
common Unix commands available under Windows. And I want them to
work like
they do on the Unix command line.

My point in asking was to try and determine if it was an issue of
ruby,
or one of window’s association of .rb files and spawning of ruby. It

seems the latter.

Not to sound catty, but sometimes you can’t get what you want, when
what
you want is Unix under Windows. Windows just simply isn’t Unix;
sometimes compromises have to be made. I’m not sure that that’s the
case
here necessarily.
