[OT] CTI Corporativo auto responses

All,

If someone on this list works for CTI Corporativo please stop sending
automated messages to the OP every time someone posts to this list.

Is anyone else getting these messages besides me? I think this is only
happening when I post via Google forum, but I'm not positive yet. Yes,
I've sent an email to the one listed below - no response.

HOLA:

I haven't seen those, but I will occasionally see a message from some
stupid South African company that objects to messages that their
moronic filter considers racist, pornographic, or some other bs like
that.

Please, folks: if you know your company has moronic autoresponders,
subscribe to Ruby-talk through a publicly available mail provider like
Gmail. It's much easier on everyone else.

Q. What's a good holiday present for the serious Rails developer?
A. RUBY FOR RAILS by David A. Black (http://www.manning.com/black\)
aka The Ruby book for Rails developers!
Q. Where can I get Ruby/Rails on-site training, consulting, coaching?
A. Ruby Power and Light, LLC (http://www.rubypal.com)

I got them and didn't post via GMail.

If my uncanny skill of guessing away at languages I don't know (heck, I
can't even recall if they speak Spanish or Portuguese in Argentina)
isn't failing me, the guy -is- all there is to CTI Corporativo. To wit:
everyone and their mum has second-level domains now, and the email
addresses are at some Argentinian ISP instead. Apparently, his old
address got spammed too much, so he's changing addresses and sending out
this notification. (The new address containing his name would be another
hint that he's all of CTI.)

I've just written him off-list, hopefully he can speak English (wouldn't
make sense subscribing to the mailing list otherwise, but you get all
sorts.)

I got two of them and i'm reading and posting via usenet newsgroup

Happy weekend

Yeah, I got them too.

Say

Por favor, senor, necessitamos que tu pare el enviar de e-mail al
ruby-talk@ruby-lang.org!

(Alternatively, unsubbing the CTI Corporativo address would probably
work better.)

It seems the storm has passed. I haven't received those messages since
this afternoon (posting via RubyForum).

The automatic replies are sent to the message posters and not to the list.
It seems you not only don't know how to write in Spanish, but also how to
read in English.

As a message poster, I do not wish to receive an automated reply to my posts. I don't want it in English, I don't want it in Spanish, Hebrew, Russian, CJK, Arabic, Urdu or FORTH!

If we have to ban people to get these messages to stop, that's life in the big city. I'm not willing to give up Ruby-talk because someone wants to tell me what I already know -- that I posted to it.

Who is the list moderator?

+1

Especially since, if the autoresponses are coming from a dead e-mail
address, banning that address isn't really banning people, it's just
banning a robot.

I too received this spam when I posted an announcement using RubyForum.
In fact, I'll probably get another one of these spam e-mails shortly...
for posting _this_ message.

Gmail has filters. Hopefully whatever email client you use has filters as
well.
