Hello Hiroshi and Ruby-Talk,
We've got some political conversations flaring up again.
I'm writing to beg you to consider, please *don't* dismantle the list
entirely.
There's been some great conversations recently including welcoming
beginners, talking about technical aspects of Ruby, and interesting
innovations like WASM, Ruby and the web.
As you know many of us on the list are software professionals with no
interest in this banter. Should we be replying to these threads with "off
topic" ? But this takes time, and can make people just want to argue harder.
Many of us, professional and beginner, still get a great deal out of the
list. Rather than disabling the list, perhaps individuals who are
consistently off-topic could be removed. To me, this seems more fair and
allows the rest of us to continue to benefit.
Thanks for your understanding. Ruby continues to be awesome and I hope we
can enjoy ruby-talk conversations for many years to come. !
