Hi all,
My name is Stephen. I am fairly new to the coding in general. I’ve completed the Computer Systems Technician program at Algonquin, and was introduced to coding in our last semester.
I loved scripting in Python, so I decided to return to University for Software Development.
Ruby is used quite extensively in my work place as well.
Kind regards,
Stephen

There's an excellent book by (a different) Chris Pine, called Learn to Program. It's from Pragmatic Programmers, and it's all written in Ruby. It has something to teach the newbiest newb, or the crustiest craftsperson. I bought it for my daughters when they showed a little interest in what I did for a living, but read it myself first and learned some things I had not picked up in 15 years of on-the-job training.
