I’m wondering how mod_ruby stacks up
against mod_perl. Can someone
enlighten me?
I’m not much of a webgeek and even
less of a perlgeek. And I certainly
don’t want to generate flames or
language wars. Just the facts, please.
Thanks,
Hal Fulton

If mod_ruby just does what the “What’s mod_ruby?” section of
http://www.modruby.net says - speed up the execution of ruby scripts -
then that’s only a part of what mod_perl allows you to do.
Mod_perl allows pretty complete access to the configuration and many of
the request handling phases. It is thoroughly integrated with Apache.
Click on What is mod_perl on http://perl.apache.org/ to find out more.
Hope this helps,
Mike
