How do I keep a word with multiple dots (such as ld.so.conf) from generating an http link in the instiki markup?

How come when I start instiki on my windows 2000 machine it returns to the command prompt and forks the daemon so that I can exit my command prompt and it will still be running, while on XP it stays in the foreground and logs to stdout? On both machines I'm running the windows installer version of ruby.
Thanks,
Carl
I have been wrapping things like this with the <code> html tag which
works fine when using textile.
Otherwise you could use character entities for the periods like
ld.so.conf
But this could become a pain because when you edit the page because
you would have to re-enter the character entities each time.
