I have been blogging about Euruko at http://kronavita.de/chris/blog/

to both of you: you may like to notice your blogs, given that they're ruby related, to the rubygarden.org mantainer, RG has a list of ruby blogs in the main page.

Sure it sounds cool, but I'm just not sure that the hyperbolic view adds that much advantage for a user interface... There's probably an easier way.

It not only sounds cool, it *is* cool. I've used an interface that used a hyperbolic tree, and it is *really* slick. I think it would be great to have something like that in Tycho.

I guess I'm thinking that it would be nice to be able to use Tycho on a PDA and I'm a bit worried that the hyperbolic view might be a bit heavy-weight for a PDA. (it sounds computationally expensive, but maybe it isn't that bad)

I'd love to have something like this on a PDA. (drool)

But I don't even own a PDA that will run Ruby, and there aren't many
that will. Even those have some features missing, I think. Kero? Aren't
you an expert there?

And there's no way Fox will run on a reasonable PDA in the near future.

Hmm. Maybe someday a Ruby VM will run on the Palm or something. Ahh,
wouldn't that be sweet?

My blog only consists partly of Ruby related entries, but I didn't yet
have time to implement feeds by category.

I have some more Rubyists in my blogroll (on the left) that aren't on
rubygarden.org, they could get added too...

wow, this is what I call fast feedback
thank you

To all, if there are other Ruby weblogs that are missing, please let me know.

Also, on the topic of RubyGarden, there are some changes that have
been a long time coming (and still aren't in yet), but I would like to
solicit articles/volunteers for help to start adding/maintaining
content on the main RubyGarden site.

I'd like to start featuring articles and tutorials on as regular a
basis as is possible. The previous open format created a lot of posts
that were more suited for ruby-talk and less for a website, so at this
point you'll have to specifically ask to get access. If you'd like to
do a one-time article on a library or application, you can send them
to me directly. I'm specifically interested in:

* Tutorials on open source Ruby libraries (especially the ones that
don't get the press they should)
* Reviews of new libraries or applications in Ruby
* Design tips and tricks
* Advanced material, for example, how to use callc or some of Ruby's
less often explored areas effectively.
* Interviews with library and application authors

I plan to get into a routine on this and hopefully get a review
process in place, but for now it will remain somewhat adhoc.

Hopefully over the next few months things will start to fall into
place. Bruce Williams and I have some plans in the works to develop
an infrastructure behind RubyGarden.org that will help us maintain it
more actively and encourage community interaction.

Please do send your suggestions to me directly.

Thanks,
Chad
