HTML control for windows

I belive the IE com control can do exactly what you want… for example
consider netcaptor.

I would like it to appear in a controlled window (a subpane) of my app.

I would imagine that this would require some integration with the GUI
library.

Can you use WIN32OLE to call IE?

Does anyone know of any work to embed an HTML display control in any
of the GUI libraries for ruby?

I would like to display HTML in a window. VR? SWIN? FOX?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but the IE com control must be embedded in the GUI toolkit via a
widget wrapper. I tried to do this with FOX and gave up because all
the timer, focus and key handling is completely incompatible with the
FOX layer. Perhaps someone can convince Jeroen that FOX needs to be
changed.

I only know about wxwindows who has a IE com control as part of its
own widget model.
