How can I get data store in text_field (or any input) with ruby-rails

Hi,

I use text_filed_tag to create a text field on my form, but I don't
know what to do to retrieve the data written in the textfield. Does
anyone know how to do this( I know it sounds very basic, but since I'm
newbie about web developpement, I have no idea how it work…) also does
anyone know how to use a button with ruby-rails??? or where can I find
the information???
