I received your email, but sorry i don't understand what you are talking about. I`m just started to learning programing. I`m a novice.

Actually i want to ask your favor to help me. I was trying to install ruby on rail on my pc but i was encountered a problem.. After i was finished installing ruby (on windows sp 2), i could not install the rails gem. the error message show this:

ERROR: While executing gem ... (SocketError) getaddrinfo: no address

associated with hostname. C:\ruby\bin>

Could you help to figure out what is my ROR installation problem and how to solve it.

Maybe you are behind a firewall? Or could it be a external proxy? Check
that, the first time I installed RoR I was forgetting to add the -p switch
to tell gem I was behind a proxy.
