you might also watch Software Development magazine’s
website [disclaimer: i am a contributing editor,
hence i want you to go there anyway] – this year
we’re doing a new two-track Jolt award process, with
reader nominations and votes as well as the
traditional juried system.
if i’m reading the site correctly, reader
nominations are closed but reader voting will open
sometime between now and mid-march.
ruby made it to the (juried) finals last year. in
fact, that’s what woke me up to the language – i
had to evaluate it, and loved it.

Subject: Go vote for Ruby
Slashdot is running another one of those “What’s
your favorite
programming language?” Polls which of course
doesn’t include Ruby
again… So go to http://slashdot.org and ‘write
in’ Ruby by
posting a
comment to the poll.Phil
