Is there any extensive documentation on FXRuby? A printable format would be
nice too.
Mr. Thomas and Mr. Hunt, how about an addendum to Programming Ruby that
covers FXRuby? (Just dreaming out loud)
Thanks,
JJ

JJ,
Not sure if there are any plans at a reprinting of the Pickaxe; at least not
for a while (IIRC from comments by Dave), regardless of how much we’d all
like to buy it.
The Ruby Way by Hal Fulton has a section on FXRuby (although the API has
changed a touch since then, as projects tend to do).
The best sources of information AFAIK are still the FOX documentation
(Home) and FXRuby site
(http://fxruby.sourceforge.net/).
Hope that helps.

We’d love to. Of course, before that happens we’d have to sell enough
books to convince AWL to print a second edition…
Cheers

I’ve certainly gotten a lot of use out of my copy! In fact I’m re-reading
it again right now.

O.K.! I’ll buy the hard copy and stop freeloading on the online
version
Also, devoting half a screen to a browser and half to a terminal is
getting old.

I also decided to do the same and ordered the hard copy (It should arrive any
day
I consider it’s important to support the sale of the book when the authors
are so kind to put the free version online, and especially if we want to see
more Ruby books helping to enlarge Ruby community.
I also ordered The Ruby Way (it should also arrive soon), and would like to have
something like Qt Programming with Ruby.
Sincerely,
Gour
