From a Ruby Script, How to automatically login to www.netflix.com

Any hint on how to:
1 - login to a website?
2 - Search the site?

You've got a couple options, either interacting with the HTTP stream
directly or interacting with a web browser. If you don't mind limiting
your application to Windows, you could use the IE Controller which is
now called WTR and available here: http://rubyforge.org/projects/wtr\. I
was just writing a program yesterday to look up people's phone numbers
using www.whitepages.com. WTR isn't documented very well, but if I can
figure it out, anyone can.

The code base for wtr is migrating to WATIR at the same url. There are
quite a few unit tests, and several sample scripts. Let me know if you
need help with it.

The user manual is being written, just slowly

Another option is the CURL library. You could execute curl commands
in backticks for a quick-and-dirty solution or check out _why's
explanation of Ruby/DL for a more elegant solution. He specifically
demonstrates a little example with libcurl.

you can login and search netflix from our Netflix toolbar.

I don't know if that helps. We have one for Firefox and IE.
