What does your apache error log say? Are you running mod_ruby?

Strange…that looks like valid code to me. Have you tried eruby from
the command line?
eruby /usr/local/apache/cgi-bin/test.rhtml
I’m not familiar with the online programming guide…what lines did
you enter into your Apache config?
