i hav located the problem i had with ruby-mysql
i try the following:
/ruby-mysql-0.2.4 # ruby test.rb localhost user password test
connect…/mysql.rb:99:in initialize': No such file or directory - /tmp/mysql.sock (Errno::ENOENT) from ./mysql.rb:99:innew’
from ./mysql.rb:99:in real_connect' from ./mysql.rb:91:ininitialize’
from ./mysql.rb:1084:in new' from ./mysql.rb:1084:inconnect’
from ./t/00connect.rb:1
from test.rb:23:in load' from test.rb:23 from test.rb:19:ineach’
from test.rb:19
i think ruby can not find mysql.sock because it was in:
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock not in /tmp/mysql.sock now how to tell ruby
the location or do i think wrong?
