proposal:

  1. only text files are allowed w extension “.txt” to be obvious (if it’s a
    ruby program, you have to rename it [and examine it -it might contain a
    "delete all files command" ;-]).

  2. maximum of 50kb per mail (in fact, if this were a ruby script, it’s
    terribly long and 99% of the members wouldn’t mind reading it -but they
    would sure mind the bandwidth! :slight_smile:

Why not allow .rb files?

  1. maximum of 50kb per mail (in fact, if this were a ruby script, it’s

50kb is better than no limit, but I think everyone would agree that
attachments of this size should be web-hosted instead. I see no need
to allow posts larger than 20kb.

Maximum mail size accepted is 16K from now on.
