Hi Ruby Talk,
RubyNation is looking for speakers! Our Call For Presentations is open for
a few more days, but only until April 2nd. If you have something
interesting to present, please help us out and submit it. Details about us
and a link to our CFP form are available here http://www.rubynation.org/
RubyNation is an annual two-day Ruby conference held in Washington, DC.
This is our seventh year and we are still going strong with 240 attendees
last year! Last year we moved to the awesome Silver Spring Civic Building,
just one metro stop outside of DC, in Silver Spring, MD. The SSCB is a
great venue for both the speakers and the attendees!
Thank you and we hope to see you here!

Hi Gary,
Is there any interest in the usage of Ruby on the JVM ala JRuby?
I am the developer of HiveMind (crudzilla.com) ,which is a web app platform
for the JVM that happens to support ruby via the JRuby implementation.
Here's a quick usage screencast:

I am not a ruby developer myself but I would be interested in discussing
usage of ruby on HiveMind and the JVM in general if that is something you
guys would be interested in.
I am in Baltimore so the location is convenient:)
