Hi Everyone,
RubyDNS 1.0.0 has just been released which represents 5.5 years of work.
It's been an awesome journey and I've learnt heaps.
The recent celluloid branch has been a massive change and resulted in quite
a few performance improvements and bug fixes.. Celluloid is an upcoming
Actor based concurrency framework similar to how Erlang works, but for
Ruby. Using celluloid allowed me to get better performance than Bind9 in
several tests I put together.
To celebrate this release, I will be running Google Hangout where I will be
happy to chat about RubyDNS and answer any questions about Celluloid that I
can. I'm by no means an expert on Celluloid, but hopefully some other
Celluloid developers will be turning up, time permitting.
Hope to see some of you there!
Samuel
