I’m planning to record the entire event with my digital video camera,
and
then to upload the talks.

Great news, thanks Chad from all of us not able to attend!

What would be wonderful, though, is if someone else had a digital
video
camera that we could use to have a couple of angles. We could then
edit
it all together to make for some nice stuff. I’d also like to have a
backup in case of a problem with my camera (or even running out of a
tape
during a talk).

The other option would be to have people bring laptops with Webcams to
record the event. Okay it will suck compared to proper video recording
but it will at least give you a backup option :slight_smile:

That’s a good point. In fact, I was planning on at least uploading
webcam pictures throughout the day from my laptop. Actually recording
video would be a good thing to do as well.

How many RubyConf attendees have webcams that we could use for something
like this? We could then edit together the “low-budget” rubyconf video.
