1.8.4 question: block parameters

Any idea if 1.8.4 will incorporate any of the improvements to block
parameters from the 1.9 stream? e.g. parameters with default values, blocks
that take blocks.

The latter was merged into 1.9 in May 2004: it'd be very strange if it were
added to the 1.8 branch 18 months later...

The former is an 'EXPERIMENTAL' feature which might be removed from 1.9
anytime, so it will definitely not go into 1.8.
