Folks:
Just as an experiment I’ve turned off e-mail notification of change from
the RubyGarden wiki. I was getting a dozen or so bounces each time
anyone changed a page, and the wiki code I’m running doesn’t have a
bounce manager built in, so I was updating the mailing list manually a
couple of times a day. If folks really miss the notifications, perhaps
we can find a way to automate bounce handling. In the meantime, remember
the Wiki is syndicated in an RSS feed, so you can see a summary of
recent changes in an aggregator of your choice.
Cheers
Dave
Aha! Next ruby project, then: Write an RSS-to-mail gateway that does
have bounce management. I’ll have to see what I can do.
