If someone has a serious question, they shouldn’t be cross-posting to 5
newsgroups. My guess is that it is spam-marketing.

Right. I failed to notice it was crossposted.
FWIW, I do think it’s acceptable to compare Ruby with other languages
in a constructive way. As long as it’s related to Ruby in that sense,
it’s not off-topic. Though it may still be a troll. 
But crossposting is a red flag.
